Drawing Software Getting The Best Out Of Your Investment
There are so many different options for drawing software. However, drawing on the computer using drawing software isn't quite as easy as drawing with a pen and paper. It definitely takes some getting used to. However, the drawing software programs on the market have a lot of different fun tools and options that make it fun to draw on the computer.
One way to make drawing using drawing software easier is to get a graphics tablet. These work with pretty much any type of drawing software, and have a pointing device that you use to draw on the tablet, much like you draw on paper. However, the lines don't show up on the tablet, they show up on the screen. The pointing device can usually be used like a pen or a mouse. Using a graphics tablet can also help those that have repetitive motion issues, since it tends to be easier on the hands than using a mouse. Small graphics tablets are usually best for home users using drawing software since they don't require as much arm movement and are a lot less expensive than larger graphics tablets.
Some of the more widely used drawing software programs are Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, and CorelDraw. Adobe Illustrator is good for drawing and producing sophisticated artwork. Adobe Photoshop is best for photographers, graphic designers and web designers. It lets you manipulate photos as well as create original artwork. The CorelDraw Graphics Suite X4 includes both the CorelDraw X4 and Corel PHOTO-PAINT X4, which seem to be the equivalents of Illustrator and Photoshop, and the price is less than buying either of the Adobe drawing software products. This seems to be a popular choice for people looking for drawing software.
There are also drawing software programs meant just for kids. Most of this drawing software features their favorite television characters. These include Disney's Magic Artist Studio, Create & Draw in Elmo's World, Nick-O-Matic Design Studio, Pokemon Project Studio, Toy Story 2 Print Studio, Looney Tunes Photofun, and SketchBoard Studio. The SketchBoard Studio comes with a drawing surface and pressure sensitive pen to make it easier for kids to use, like a graphics tablet. This is the option I would choose for kids since drawing with the mouse is a bit awkward, especially when you have small hands like kids do. There are other less expensive (sometimes even free) drawing software options as well as those mentioned above. However, these aren't as popular and have a lot fewer options.
